The Construction Industry Training Board has served notice on its contract to provide the Construction Skills Certification Scheme with card application and contact centre services.
The CITB has delivered application processing and contact centre under contract for more than 20 years. As part of the CITB’s Vision 2020, CITB will focus on fewer activities centred on its core priorities of careers, training and development and standards and qualifications.
Under the terms of the notice period, CSCS now has three and a half years to identify a new service provision. CITB will continue to deliver the card application and contact centre service until an orderly transition can be made to a new supplier. The notice period and transition to a new supplier wil not effect the current CSCS application process.
The CSCS card scheme will be familiar to most people who work in the construction industry as it’s the card used by most contractors and clients to provide proof that individuals wanting to work on a construction site have the required qualifications and training for the type of work they will carry out.
If you wish to apply for a card, you can use the simple booking form supplied by the CSCS-booking service. If you are unsure about which card you need then check our card finder page.
