Following weeks of test centres being closed, with the uncertainty of when they would reopen, Pearson Vue has this week reopened the facilities to allow for the CITB Health and safety exam to be taken again. Centres across England (with Scotland and Wales due to follow next week) have now opened there doors to a limited number of candidates to start to clear the backlog of customers that have been waiting to take their exam, required to apply for or renew a CSCS card since March.
Centres have adopted a number of precautions to be able to safely deliver the test while the treat of transferring COVID-19 is still high. As well as thorough cleaning schedules, candidates attending the centre will now be required to wear masks and the capacity has been reduced to allow for a minimum of 2-metre distancing between people taking the test.
So, if you have been waiting to know if CSCS test centres are open and need to book a CSCS test then you can now do so. Demand will be high so obtaining a quick appointment may be difficult, as priority will be given to those who have previously had tests cancelled or rescheduled. However, if you book now through UK Construction Cards, the team will allocate you the earliest available test that they can.
Already have your test booked? You will receive your new confirmed booking details shortly if you have not received this already. Spaces are limited but we are working to allocate your tests as early as we can.
