Whether you need to renew a CSCS card or need to apply for a CSCS card for the first time, our mission at UK construction cards is to make this process as simple as possible. No matter what trade you are, what qualifications you hold or what card you need, you cannot get a CSCS card until you pass the CITB Health safety and environment test.
Most commonly referred to as a “CSCS test” the health safety and environment test is designed to ensure you can carry out your job without putting yourself, or others at risk. To book a CSCS test (or if referred to correctly book a CITB health safety and environment test) just click on the link below, complete our simple booking form and we will do the rest.
For the most part, people wanting to get a CSCS card will need to pass the Operatives test. This covers most general trades such as Labourer (or general operative), bricklayer, painter and decorator, plasterer, groundworker, etc. However you will need to pass a specialist test if you are going to be working at heights (such as a scaffolder) where you will need to pass the working at heights test, a supervisor or site manager, you will need the Managerial and Professional (MAP) test or working with gas where you may need the plumbing and gas test.
